About Bio-Med

Bio-Med was founded in February of 1999. Since that date, our mission has remained constant:

  • To Provide Comprehensive Services to opiate dependent persons.

  • To assure patients understand the consequences of their addiction and the need to assume responsibility for their own recovery.

  • To enhance the optimal functioning and well-being of our patients and their family members.

  • To develop and promote positive public relations and increase public awareness, understanding, and support for persons with substance abuse problems.

  • To expand the social and supportive network available to patients and family members struggling with devastating effects of substance abuse.

    • Hours of Operation
    Monday thru Friday   5 a.m. — 12 p.m.
    Saturday   6 a.m. — 8:45 a.m.
    Sunday   Closed

    Bio-Med is CARF Certified, and licensed by the Michigan Department of Consumer Industries/Health Services. Dr. McCarrol is Board Certified, and certified in Addiction Medicine by the ASAM. He is also a certififed Medical Review officer. He is the president of the Michigan Association of Methadone Providers and represents the state of Michigan on a national level as a board member of the American Association for the Treatment of Opiod Dependence. He maintains many professional memberships, including:

  • American Medical Association

  • American Osteopathic Association

  • American Association of Osteopathic Family Practitioners

  • Michigan Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons

  • Macomb County Osteopathic Society
